Ron
Blue House Catering Founder

Blue House Catering’s creator, more of a “lifestyle artist” than chef or manager. Good-natured Aquarian who thinks life is just a kick. Believes strongly in the Golden
Rule - people truly should treat others as they wish to be treated. Thinks that education is great, but experience speaks volumes. Wishes that people would smile more, and strives to be “that” person who makes people wonder “what the heck is he smiling about?”

Likes: Fusion menus, Liquor as an ingredient in food, colorful palates, Strong coffee, Theme parties, Celebrating life itself, Eating outdoors, People who pay attention to the world around them, and having a sense of personal style.

Dislikes: Banquet servers on autopilot, deli trays, fast food, warm champagne, “over the hill” type birthday themes, telemarketers who call and pretend to know him, generic anything, and general lack of appropriateness and etiquette.

Final word: “don’t take life too seriously, you’ll never get out of it alive”

I have lived in many places and the sun and heat of the southwest is what made me settle in Tucson (couldn’t imagine living anywhere else)! I was a Blue House client prior to working here, and loved it so much I decided to work here! My favorite thing about Blue House is everything, the staff, the work environment, the food and the unbeatable clients!

I’m from North Carolina an have done a little bit of everything. My favorite past time is playing the banjo and collecting vintage objects of beauty. I think working at Blue House is like a cross between “Charlie’s Angels” and “Fear Factor” and I love it! My favorite dish to date is the one that Ron whipped up one day in the kitchen while I was ravenous on the job. It has about fifty ingredients and tri-colored pasta.

I was born and reared in Meridian, Idaho with a preacher grandpa. I ran as far as I could without leaving the country! Tucson is a wacky town so I stayed. Seven years ago I began cooking in a pizza joint and then assisted in opening a restaurant & deli. I have worked and managed an assortment of independent small cafes. I’ve learned more about cooking in my short time at Blue House then I did in the previous seven years! I love working with awesome people & learning new things. I believe I’ll stay a spell.

I was born in Evansville, Indiana I like movies, dancing, music & long walks on the beach. My hobbies are rock climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, polo, waterskiing, karat & bowling. German techno & anything Justin Timberlake are among my favorite types of music. One day I hope to get a horse and travel around the desert looking for gold like the cowboys of the olden times!

After years of catering in my home town of Chicago, I was drawn to the Sonoran Desert, Tucson and to Blue House Catering so I could get closer to Ron’s legendary Spicy Peanut
Sauce, usually accompanying the grilled chicken skewers, so very Thai, it is perfecto!

I’m from Tucson. My favorite Blue House menu was the crawfish boil and watching Tucsonans learn how to peel crawfish!

I am a native to Arizona, growing up in Bisbee. I have spent time on both costs of the United States and enjoy traveling. When not working at Blue House I am a set carpenter and stage hand. My favorite part of being on the Blue House team is being able to experience all the different venues and parties, and being around food - which I love!

I have lived in Tucson long enough to feel at home in the desert. Outside of working at Blue House and managing a local yoga studio, I also enjoy practicing yoga, bicycling and most recently the rediscovery of hammocks. My favorite thing about working for Blue House:
all the Bluehouseians make it a delightful and dedicated work environment. Jeff, (this one may be added in later....) I’m a native of Tucson and have worked in the service industry for six years. I have been with Blue House for almost a year. I enjoy all the food that comes out of the kitchen with the crab and ricotta stuffed pasta shells and beef brisket being among my favorites.

I am 34 years old and have been working in the service industry for over a decade. I have done everything from manager to bartender to waiter. I recently was sommelier certified through the Court of Master Sommelier. This certification has been a great asset to my day job at Franklin Wine and Spirits where I am a wine consultant. I still love to bartend and the finer points of service, and that is why I sought out a position at Blue House Catering.
